JSA's relationship with Genting Americas East began in 2008 at Monticello Casino & Raceway and has never stopped. As Genting transformed its New York footprint — closing the Monticello racino in 2019, opening Resorts World Catskills in 2018, launching Resorts World Hudson Valley in 2022, and converting Resorts World New York City from a VLT-only operation to New York City's first full-scale commercial casino in April 2026 — JSA moved with them through every transition.

The New York Gaming Association retained JSA to conduct independent research on behalf of all nine New York racinos — at the policy level, not the property level. JSA's analysis documented the economic impact of the existing gaming-tax treatment of Free Play promotional credits and supplied the analytical foundation for a successful legislative and regulatory lobbying campaign. After the change, NY State gaming revenue grew by more than 5% while comparable surrounding states were flat or declining.
